Thai Spa Therapist
Skills Required:

Knowledge of Traditional Thai Esthetician services and treatments including Thai spa treatments; an in depth understanding of the principles and practice of Thai massage and herbal spa treatments. Knowledge of herbs used in Thai herbal spa treatments is essential. Knowledge of Thai culture an asset.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

Either

  1. Minimum five years experience working full time providing Thai massage for relaxation purposes in a Thai government regulated clinic and/or at a five star hotel Thai spa, or a combination of same; or
  2. Level 1 (372 hours) Thai massage for relaxation as certified by the Thailand Ministry of Health PLUS two years experience working full time providing Thai massage treatments in a Thai government regulated clinic and/or at a five star hotel Thai spa.

Echo Valley Ranch - Wrangler
Our wranglers need to have excellent horsemanship abilities, proven customer service skills and the desire to work long, hard days in a hands-on learning, team environment.

Previous guest ranch experience is preferred.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering, grooming, saddling and caring for horses daily
  • Leading trail rides of varying difficulties and lengths for guests at the ranch
  • Ensuring rider safety - first priority
  • Providing riding instruction
  • Tack, barn and ranch maintenance, trail maintenance, fencing, general ranch chores
  • Training horses
  • Other activities related to the overall satisfaction of our guests (hiking, driving)
Wranglers need to be able to work in a team-related environment, but also be able to think for themselves and be ready to handle any situation in an emergency.

Pay rates will be established when a job offer is made. Room and board are included as part of the pay package: Shared rooms in staff quarters. Crew are expected to keep their living area picked up and clean. Washers and dryers are shared by staff and housekeeping. Meals are served in the staff kitchen/social area. Crew prepare own breakfasts, but lunch, dinner prepared by ranch chef. Wranglers are expected to dress in a western style and maintain a neat and clean appearance at all times.

We are a remote ranch. It is advantageous to have your own transportation, and during the guest season, you must find your own transportation if you are interested in going to town.

No smoking will be allowed while you are working, in any of the buildings, on any trail rides, at the barn or in front of guests. Illegal use of drugs or alcohol is not permitted. Alcohol use must be discreet and after work hours only.

Echo Valley Ranch & Spa - Hiking/fitness Guide
Our hiking/fitness guide co-ordinates hiking and fitness activities, including hikes and nature walks and assistance and instruction on our fitness centre apparatus. This person will also be called upon to drive guests to and from the Kamloops airport. This person must have proven customer service skills and the desire to work long, hard days in a hands-on learning, team environment.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Daily guided hikes/nature walks
  • Assisting and advising guests on the use of fitness centre equipment
  • Simple maintenance of fitness centre equipment, keeping centre neat and tidy
  • Ensuring fitness centre and pool area have clean towels, drinking water
  • Picking up/dropping off guests at Kamloops Airport

Echo Valley Ranch & Spa - Housekeeper/server
The person for this job will need to have previous housekeeping/serving experience as well as a proven guest service attitude.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Cleaning of cabins and guest rooms, beds, bathrooms and common areas
  • Laundry as well as assisting head housekeeper in any way asked
  • Serving guests at meal times when needed
  • Cleaning of dining room and kitchen, resetting dining room, dishwashing
  • Weekly cleaning of staff quarters common area/kitchen, barbecue area
Housekeepers need to be able to work in a team-related environment, but also be able to think for themselves and be ready to handle any situation in an emergency.
